The Monthly Edit - December 2024
Nourish Your Mind, Body & Creativity This December.
Welcome to the first edition of my monthly newsletter with a sprinkle of summer sun & palm trees to keep you sane as the skies turn grey! Each month, I’ll share tips, ideas, and updates to inspire and support your journey to rediscover balance.
Whether you're looking to embrace the season, move into the new year with purpose, or simply explore creative ways to feel good, there’s something here for you.
Behind the scenes I have been working on my own transformation bringing together my two passions; pottery & health to create ‘Becky Good Creative Health’. I’m not quite finished, so you will still see some references to “Becca Brown Health’ as I complete my transformation!

WORKSHOPS: Relax & Refocus
As part of this transformation I am excited to announce three Creative Health Workshops planned for 2025.
Experience a day of creative health and self-discovery. Combine the therapeutic art of pottery with the transformative power of coaching. Start your day with a group coaching session to refocus on what is most important to you & uncover what brings you joy, followed by an afternoon of relaxing pottery crafting your own ceramic pot, you will also have a 1:1 coaching session to check in after the workshop.
✨ 30th March 2025 - Somerset.
✨ 31st May 2025 - Oxfordshire.
✨ 27th September 2025 - Warwickshire.
If you are looking for something purely creative I am running two further workshops in the relaxing setting of Lamorna Barn, a new creative space over looking the beautiful Mendip Hills in Somerset.
✨ Coil Pots - 6th February 2025: learn the technique of coil building to create a vase. You will be able to create your own vase design.
✨ Sgraffito - 26th February 2025: learn the art of Sgraffito (Italian "to scratch") a decorative technique where a contrasting colour is applied over the top of a leather hard, unfired pot or plate and then etched into to reveal the colour of the clay beneath.

MIND: Cultivating Peace in Winter
Winter invites us to slow down and reflect. Here’s a simple practice:
Find 5 minutes to sit quietly.
Close your eyes and take slow, deep breaths.
Visualise a cozy, warm light filling your body.
Set a gentle intention for your day.
Quick tip: Journaling can also help process thoughts and create clarity for the year ahead.
BODY: Warm Nourishment for Winter
Fuel your body with foods that comfort and energise:
Root vegetables (like sweet potatoes and parsnips) are perfect for stews and soups.
Spices like cinnamon and turmeric add warmth and boost immunity.
Don’t forget to hydrate - warm teas with lemon and ginger are winter staples.

MOVEMENT: Gentle Ways to Stay Active
Moving your body in winter doesn’t have to feel like a chore.
Try restorative yoga to stretch and relax.
Outdoor walks on crisp days can energise your mind and body - bundle up nice & warm!
Experiment with a short dance session at home to boost your mood!
Thought Of The Day
“Stop measuring days by degrees of productivity and start experiencing them by degrees of presence.”
Alan Watts.
